Both options are designed to provide long-lasting²³ sacral neuromodulation therapy while offering different approaches to charging and device size.

Axonics F15 Recharge-Free Sacral Neuromodulation

The Axonics F15™ is designed for patients who prefer a recharge-free SNM system.

As the longest-lived, truly recharge-free device, the Axonics F15 offers up to 17.6 years of battery life at 1mA and more than 20 years at lower energy settings¹* in a 10cc device. No system components need to be recharged.

Axonics R20 Rechargeable Sacral Neuromodulation

The Axonics R20™ is a small, rechargeable neurostimulator designed for long-lasting²³ therapy with fewer charging interruptions.

Its open-ended battery life is designed to last 20+ years, with patients able to go approximately 6–10 months between charging sessions. The R20 has a compact 5cc device size.

How do I know if SNM Therapy is suitable for my symptoms?

Trialling the therapy, before proceeding with a long-term implant, your doctor may recommend a short trial of an Axonics therapy to evaluate its effectiveness in managing your symptoms.

Simple Control of Your Axonics SNM Therapy

Your Axonics SNM system includes a pocket-sized remote control that allows you to manage your therapy and make adjustments when needed.

The remote:

  • Is pocket-sized and easy to use
  • Requires no external antennas or communicators
  • Allows therapy level adjustments for both trial and permanent therapy
  • Allows an MRI technician to check system readiness before a full-body MRI

Can I have an MRI with an Axonics SNM implant?

The Axonics Sacral Neuromodulation systems are MRI Conditional, which means eligible patients can undergo MRI scans when the specified conditions and guidelines are followed.

If you need an MRI, tell your doctor and MRI provider that you have an Axonics SNM implant. Your healthcare team can confirm your device type and ensure the appropriate MRI conditions are met before your scan.

Knowing that your Axonics SNM system is MRI Conditional can provide reassurance if diagnostic imaging is needed in the future. If you have questions about your implant or an upcoming MRI scan, speak with your healthcare provider for guidance specific to your device and circumstances.
